We selected The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as the benefiting charity of our 2022 Convention in Tucson, AZ. To raise funds for this wonderful cause, an auction was organized, and a wide range of excellent prizes were available to bid on. John Duffy and Steve Howerton, owners of the Tampa Bay franchise location, donated a prize titled, “You can’t handle the truth!” The winning bid was submitted by Alan and Naila Matheson, owners in Central Pennsylvania. Alan recently shared with us his perspective of that auction prize.

“Naila and I made the highest bid to secure the help of the Tampa Bay Franchise Team to spend time in our market helping us to assess where we are and build a winning formula to reach our goals for the next five years and beyond. We followed this up early in the summer and agreed an agenda and provided various pieces of information in advance of the in-person visit. This included P&L reports, balance sheet information, AR reports, org charts, territory map with zip codes and building counts, PI profiles for each team member.

“John Duffy, Steve Howerton, Jeremy Chucko, and Nathan Cindric all traveled together to represent Owners, GM, and Sales expertise. The first day was spent with Naila and I gathering insights on the data we had provided. In particular, a deep dive into the PI profiles of our team and the current financial health of the business. Day two was meet the team day. Nathan spent his time with our sales team and Jeremy spent his time with our ops team of FSMs and Night Managers. John and Steve split their time between the team sessions and at a more strategic level with us. The day concluded with a team dinner at an outdoor restaurant in weather conditions that were a treat for our visitors. Nice temperatures and low humidity.

“Our final day was a wrap up with Naila and me. This is where the team from Tampa Bay gave us their assessment of where we are doing well, where we need to focus more effort on, and what they felt our next organizational steps should be. We can’t say enough good things about the engagement, great ideas, honest feedback, and team excitement that was generated by this visit. As a follow-up, we will be visiting Tampa towards the end of the year to update on our progress and to see the Tampa operation firsthand.

“This was a large investment from us to a very important charity, but an even larger investment of time and expertise from the Tampa Bay Team. If the chance comes up in future conventions for a similar auction item, we can highly recommend it!”

This is a fantastic example of the Ripple thriving in the City Wide system! Thank you to Central Pennsylvania for donating to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, investing in their business, and sharing their experience with everyone. Thank you to Tampa Bay for paying it forward by sharing their knowledge and dedicating their time to others in the system!
